This steamer insert is of the same quality as the pots. It's a little deep so you could easily boil out all the water, but it's enough water to get steamed veggies cooked perfectly, so it's not like it's so deep you have to add more water before your food is done.

This insert was designed to fit the Stainless set. I have the anodized set, and the pot sizes a little different. This does not properly fit into the 3-qt pan, but is "useable" in the 2-qt with the 2-qt lid. The pot diameter is a slightly larger, so the handles of the insert hold it up. My fear is that it will scratch the non-stick surface. The weight of the insert is heavy, the stainless pretty & I liked it enough to keep it even thought the fit is not proper.

This steamer seems to be a good product, but I cannot use it as I don't have a proper pot with which to use it. I bought this steamer under the assumption that it fit the five quart pot I purchased because the information screen listed the two as purchased together. They do not fit together. This steamer requires a three quart pot or saucepan which I will now have to purchase. So this may be a great product but needs to be purchased with or for the proper pot and the information screen therefore seems misleading. A description of what pot this steamer fits and how it works would be most useful. The product line seems a good value for the money. I just wish I could use it.
